therapy
main characteristics of therapy

Margot and Rainer Binder (MARA) established additive BPS-therapy ca. 1980 and continued steadily to further develop it. BPS-Therapy is an integrated therapy that actively supports the efforts of physicians.

During BPS-Therapy, the ancient self-preservation systems of the body are used in order to promote self-healing. Every person has absolutely perfect repair programs that already exist in their body. The reasons why these even healing programs do not always engage themselves fully, are in many cases very difficult to diagnose.

The Flow of BPS Treatment
  • Consultation
  • Statements from physicians, regarding the illness are included in the flow of  BPS-treatment plan.  However, diagnoses are not made.
  • Actual treatment
Rest phase and/or time to respond to any questions

How is additive BPS-therapy different from other therapies?
The physical action during the treatment is made by the therapist, not by the patient. Especially composed music is played during the therapy rather which is conducted without speaking. Through the actions of the therapist and the music accompaniment, the patient is taken into a very deep, pleasant state of relaxation and then led back out of it. In the course of the treatment, the joints are moved softly and extremely slowly. The muscle tensions are felt immediately by the therapist and determine the next steps in the flow of the treatment: These physical reactions of the patient’s body determine each patient’s individual treatment, each visit.

The patient performs no strenuous or time-consuming exercises.

How does BPS-Therapy work?
Many causes for the origins of malfunctions and/or diseases of the body are not concretely detectable even today.  Additive BPS-therapy assumes that a broad range of stressors accumulate, and overload the body, impairing its proper functioning.  With the above-mentioned therapy, the effects of this overloading can be very often effectively softened with no ill effects, which allow this therapy to support the efforts of the different medical fields in order to help the patient.

The theoretical foundation
The theoretical foundation of additive BPS-therapy is based upon the principles of quantum physics (particle physics).

Each body has stored a large quantity of energy that is necessary in order to power the bodily functions.  Energy functions and potential in the body can also be measured. The heart activity is examined, for example through the electrocardiogram (EKG).  The brain currents are recorded through the Electroencephalogram (EEG).

Situation dependent changes in the metabolic processes in the brain can be seen using Positronic Emission Tomography (PET) Imaging.

The physical principle, on which Additive BPS-therapy is based, says that illnesses are caused, or brought about partially by obstruction of internal energies that cannot be measured yet.  BPS-therapy can dissolve such energy blockages.

effect of BPS-music
Our brains are stimulated by music very well. Certain variations of rhythm, speed and pitch can release blockages and lead to the listener experiencing deep "brain frequencies" (alpha-level) leading to a deep level of relaxation. In order to obtain this desirable effect, the therapist must have music that is especially composed.

Practical Treatment
Depending on the treatment necessary, there are two different forms:
  • Acute
  • Intensive
The total treatment time in both cases is approximately 1 hour.

costs
The international occupational association of BPS therapists recommends the range of treatment cost from which each therapist sets his or her individual rate. Please enquire with your therapist.

Breathing Exercise

HARA-point – a simple relaxation exercise to try yourself.

The concept of the HARA-point comes from Japan. In the HARA school of thought, the HARA-point is the center of the personality.

The HARA-point exercise is best suited to restore calm and balance to your mind.
